Student dormitory in Hagenberg

The houses nos. 1 to 3 of the student dormitory in Hagenberg was completed in 1998 and the house no. 4 was completed in 2000. In November 2002 was the house no. 5 completed and the next aim is the completion of house no. 6 in June 2003 whereat there will be 550 beds available for students.

All the apartments include vestibule, bathroom with shower and WC and living area between 18,5 and 24,5 m². The rooms either share a kitchen located on the same floor (every inhabitant has a barred kitchen and a compartment in fridge) or there is a small kitchen in the room. All the apartments are fully furnished and have been equipped with Internet access, telephone, cable television, bedding and bed linen. The price includes room cleaning, bed linen, all running costs, cable television connection, internet connection and the use of shared facilities like fitness room, table tennis space and music room in student dormitory in Hagenberg and the swimming pool in International Student Centre Julius Raab in Linz. 

Students and also co-workers from the companies in Softwarepark can have lunch in our modern cafeteria every day (also on Saturdays, Sundays and free days). We have in our menu two choices of fresh and rich three-course buffet lunch and we also have other choices in our menu with favourable prices. Especially we have cheap prices for everybody living in student dormitory.

For students studying in Polytechnic University in Hagenberg, there is also a possibility for them to live in International Student Centre Julius Raab in Linz, which is located near the Johannes Kepler University. The Polytechnic University in Hagenberg is only at a distance of 15-20 minutes by car from the student dormitory in Linz.

OÖ. STUDENTENWERK (Upper Austrian Student Union)

OÖ Studentenwerk (Upper Austrian Student Union) is a registered association, which was established in 1952 as an association to support students. It is a non-profit organisation and its every purpose is to operate according to clause §§ 34 of Federal General Fiscal Law. The duty of this association is especially to support young students on behalf of the Upper Austrian economy and after the principles of Christian philosophy and social market economy. The supporting is made by awarding grants and by organising accommodation in boarding schools and in student dormitories. Also by managing student cafeterias and establishing sport facilities.
