Ubiquitous Business: Network of people, information and things

Millions of companies, milliards of people and billions of devices are going to be linked together in the next ten years. This network promises an access to information for everyone in any time, in any place and with different devices. This comprehensive network should raise general productivity and open new possibilities when you can just carry out actions easily.

From the SCCH point of view, this vision is going to be called ubiquitous business. The vision of all-pervasive information access that is going to network people, information and things: ubiquitous business as a new possible form of mobility and personalisation. The realisation of this vision is going to happen through focusing to following things: 
• Mobile co operational applications
• Context sensitivity for mobile applications

In mobile area, the collaborative applications will happen through basic concept of the peer-to-peer communication. Moreover concepts, methods and models will be developed to shorten drastically the development time of mobile, collaborative applications. Addition to that software architecture will be realised in order to produce common virtual working field.

Context sensitive applications observe and register the surroundings with sensors, in order to collect information and to offer it in suitable form to users and to other information systems. At this moment there are no class libraries, no concepts and methods for successful development of context sensitive, mobile applications. Through the development of a context toolkit these faults will be removed and a one step further to the direction of all-pervasive information access will be taken.
